MATERIALS

Fabscraps C94 003 Lady Victoria

Fabscraps C94 004 Lady Jane

Fabscraps DC94 004 Chippie (My Dream Life)

Fabscraps MC94 001A Carders Pack

Fabscraps DS067 Stencil

Cream and beige cardstock

Coral and brown chalk

Tombow

Glossy Accents

Foam tape

METHOD

  • Cut a 11 ¼ x 8.5 inch circle from C94 004 Lady Jane. Distress all exposed edges and adhere to cream cardstock using Tombow (candy stripes up)
  • Adhere your photograph to a piece of beige cardstock. Select various colour corresponding sheets from your Carders Pack to create layers beneath your photograph; include three of the die cut element ‘tags’ in your layering; distress all the edges before adhering your pack together
  • Place your layered pack on your layout and pencil around where it will eventually be adhered; then use your stencil with some brown chalk to create a background around your layered pack; once you’re happy, adhere your pack to your background
  • Colour your title chippie with coral chalk; dry with your heat gun and then brush the upper and lower edges with brown chalk; dry with the heat gun, coat with glossy accents and once dry, cut from frame. Adhere your title chippie below your layered pack, on the left hand side
  • Fussy cut some flowers from the reverse of C94 004 and also from C94 003; arrange these around your LO (as can be seen in the images) and adhere with Tombow.
  • Finish off by randomly swiping your fussy cut flowers with glossy accents to give a dew effect once it has dried

  4. Again punch a pretty scalloped edge border of Clay coloured Cardstock and adhere over the edge of C94 004 running vertically up the page.
  5. Mat a 4” X 6” photo with a thin border of Clay coloured Cardstock and 3D using a 4” X 6” piece of chipboard.
  6. Using the two umbrellas from MC94 001A, cut off the umbrella handles and adhere to the page as per pic, coming from underneath the mounted photo like Angel wings.
  7. Using the Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, colour the Filigree Corners and the Title. Separate the words of the title and adhere along with corners to the page as per pic.

  • FabScraps Charms Of Spring Stickers ST97 002

  • Fairy & Mushroom Embellishments, Small Metal Ladder, Preserved Moss, Small Decorative Glass Stones, Self- Adhesive Rhinestone Strips, Self-Adhesive Rhinestones, Large Flat Back Rhinestone, Flower Vine & Flowers, Small Bird Nest, Craft Wire

Instructions:

  1. To create the stalk – Cover a toilet roll with a strip of patterned paper trimmed from C97 005.
  2. Create the mushroom canopy by cutting out a circle using the patterned paper from the Carder’s Pack.  I traced around a small plate to create my circle outline.
  3. Attach the mushroom canopy to the stalk with hot glue. I glued the top on a slight angle.
  4. Cut thin strips from patterned paper (again from the Carder’s Pack) and punch a decorative edge along one side. Affix around the bottom edge of the mushroom canopy.  Decorate with strips of adhesive rhinestones.
  5. Die cut a decorative round doily and window element from the blue paper from the Carder’s Pack. Ink the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  Remove the middle part from the doily to create a frame and attach over the top of the mushroom canopy.
  6. With a craft knife, create a door in the stalk of the mushroom. Affix the die cut window across the front of the stalk so that the door sits in the middle.
  7. Create large leaf elements using C97 005 patterned paper – a fan shape will work well for these. Ink the edges with dusty concord distress ink. Affix this to the top of the mushroom canopy.
  8. Embellish the top with Flower Vine, Flowers, Small Bird Nest, Mini Mushrooms, Twisted craft wire pieces and Preserved Moss.
  9. Paint chipboard DC997 008 Butterfly with white gesso. When dry, dab with a little dusty concord and water. Add stamped detail with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Affix in place (Refer to photo) and add a decorative rhinestone to the butterfly centre.
  10. Place a ST97 002 ‘Dream Big’ Sticker on a light coloured cardstock and trim around the outer edge. Affix in place.
  11. Make a base for the mushroom house using plain chipboard/box board. Again, I used a small plate for the template. Cut out and cover with patterned paper from the carder’s pack. Ink edges with Raspberry Pickle Distress Ink.
  12. Arrange Preserved Moss over the top and stick in place.
  13. Position mushroom house and stick down.
  14. Arrange fairy, mushroom elements and decorative glass pebbles around the house. When happy with arrangement, glue in place.
  15. Create a fairy letter- box from a strip of chipboard for the post and folded piece for the roof. Twist craft wire around the post.

Add a few small flowers and a scattering of adhesive rhinestones around the base.  Affix an empty ribbon spool to the bottom of the base to create a lit
